Rent a car, drive it yourself
We bring the car to your arrivals hall or your hotel car park, hand you the keys, and collect it from wherever you finish. Insurance, unlimited mileage and a full tank are in the price.

Everything is automatic unless you ask otherwise, and everything is under five years old. If the one you want is out, we will tell you straight away rather than quietly send something else.

Need something bigger, or a driver with it?
Minibuses from nine to fourteen seats sit outside the self-drive fleet, because most groups that size would rather someone else did the driving. Tell us the size of the party and we quote both ways.

Third party and collision damage waiver are in the rate, not sold to you at the counter.

Rental questions
Do I need an international driving permit?
Most visitors do not. A national licence in English or French, held for at least one year, is accepted. If yours is in another script, bring an international permit alongside it.
Where do I pick the car up?
Wherever suits you. We meet most people in the arrivals hall at SSR, but hotel and villa delivery costs the same, which is nothing.
What happens if I damage it?
Collision damage waiver is included, so you are covered above the excess. Tell us straight away, take photos, and we handle the rest. Tyres and the underside are the two things the waiver does not cover.
Can someone else drive?
Yes. A second driver is free, we just need their licence details before you set off so they are named on the cover.
Is it safe to drive here?
Yes, with a bit of care. We drive on the left, the motorway is straightforward, and the village roads are narrow and busy with pedestrians. Most people avoid driving after dark in the first few days.
Can I rent a car and a driver instead?
You can, and for a first trip a lot of people prefer it. Ask us for a day rate with a driver and we will quote both so you can compare.
